If ever I would leave you, it wouldn't be in summer
Seeing you in summer, I never would go
Your hair streaked with sunlight, your lips red as flame
Your face with a luster that puts gold to shame
もし何時か僕が君を捨てるにしても、夏にはしたくない
夏に君を見ていると、僕は、きっと終わりにしようとは思わない
君の髪は、陽の光で筋がつき、君の唇は、炎のように赤い
恥らえば、美しさを添える、艶のある君の顔
But if I'd ever leave you, it couldn't be in autumn
How I'd leave in autumn, I never would know
I've seen how you sparkle when fall nips the air
I know you in autumn and I must be there
だが、もし僕が、何時か君を捨てるにしても、秋になる筈がない
どうして、秋に捨てられよう、僕は、全く知りたくない
秋は外気を悴（かじか）ませるのに、どれだけ君は輝いている事か、と僕は思った
僕は、秋に君を知り、そこにそのままいる以外どうしようもない
And could I leave you

Or on a wintry evening

そして、熱情の火照りを受け止めたばっかりに、雪を突いて、或いは、冬の夕暮れに、
大喜びで駆けて来る君を、捨てられるだろうか
