集団的自衛権
CHAPTER VII: ACTION WITH RESPECT TO THREATS TO THE PEACE, BREACHES OF THE PEACE, AND ACTS OF AGGRESSION
Article 51
Nothing in the present Charter shall impair the inherent right of individual or collective self-defense if an armed attack occurs against a Member of the United Nations, until the SecurityCouncil has taken measures necessary to maintain international peace and security. Measurestaken by Members in the exercise of this right of self-defense shall be immediately reported to the SecurityCouncil and shall not in any way affect the authority and responsibility of the Security Council under the present Charter to take at any time such action as it deems necessary in order to maintain or restore international peace and security.
武装攻撃が国際連合のメンバーに対して生じた場合、安全保障理事会が、国家間の平和と安全を維持する為に必要な措置を採るまで、この憲章の及ぶところ、個々の、或いは、集団的正当防衛の本来の権利（資格）を何一つ害する事はない。
正当防衛の上述の権利（資格）の行使に当たり、メンバーに依（よ）って採られた措置は、安全保障理事会に直ちに報告されなければならず、同時に、国家間の平和と安全を維持し、又回復する為に止むを得ないと考えるようなこうした措置を、この憲章の下（もと）で如何なる時も選択する為に、安全保障理事会の権限や責務を、どのような状態にあろうとも冒してはならない。
