Life is not a highway strewn with flowers
Still it holds a goodly share of bliss
When the sun gives way to April showers
Here is the point you should never miss
人生に、花盛りと共に散らされる大道はない
今尚、十分、幸福を割当てられている
太陽が、四月の俄雨に道を譲る時、
ここに、見落してはならない眼目がある
Though April showers may come your way
They bring the flowers that bloom in May
So if it's raining, have no regrets
Because it isn't raining rain, you know
(It's raining violets)
四月の俄雨が、貴方の行く手に忍び寄っても、
それは、五月に咲く花を齎す
だから、喩え雨が降っても、がっかりしないで
雨を降らせているのではないから、分かる
（菫色を雨のように降らせている）
And where you see clouds upon the hills
You soon will see crowds of daffodils
So keep on looking for a blue bird
And listening for his song
Whenever April showers come along
そして、丘の上の、貴方が雲を見る場所に
間もなく、貴方は、ラッパ水仙の群を見るでしょう
青い鳥を探し続けて、そして、その囀りに耳を傾けて
四月の俄雨が、近付く時は何時も
